Feeding

I have a 13 month old boy and he HATES food. I can’t get him to eat OR take a bottle. His pediatrician said he might breastfeed until he’s 2 due to allergies... even though when he was tested he only tested positive for an egg allergy? Does anyone have experience with this? I need help getting him to eat solids I’ve seriously tried everything. Please supportive comments only.

Girl I feel you. Same story. We went to see a feeding therapist 2 weeks ago. She did her evaluation and didn’t find anything to be wrong. She said just to keep offering. Create a routine. The thing is - HE DOESN’T CARE. He will push my hand away, press his lips together and turn his face away 😂 I was stressing out and crying my eyes out in the begging. Now, I will offer once, twice. No? Off you go 😂 he will have a piece of candy or a cracker so it’s not a texture issue or anything else. Just not interested. And by keep making him I can only create negative energy around food. My MIL said she didn’t eat solids till she was 2 so it’s not “unheard of”. Keep offering and remember - there is not one single adult that doesn’t eat food. They all start eventually!

@Regina it actually is a relief that someone else feels the struggle. He’ll even go up to me when I’m eating and start chewing…so I try to give him some and then nope! He’s disgusted that I would even offer 😂
