NIPT says it's another boy 😭

What's the off chance that it's wrong lol? It's our fourth and last child and we were kind of hoping for a girl. But we already had a name picked out for a boy and I was going to do a Winnie The Pooh theme too.

My nipt said boy too lol , my anatomy scan is Monday so I’ll know for sure. It’s pretty accurate 😩

Sorry chicka, it's not wrong. Thats your babies DNA & kinda hard to miss a Y chromosome

Why are so many people obviously not due in April in this group suddenly? I'm confused, like why even?

Sorry mama. I was in the same boat too. We were praying for a boy and are having another girl. Gods plans are best🙂

@Audrey my due date is April 21st. I'm 18 weeks. I just chose to do the NIPT later than usual

@Allison Monique She wasn't referring to you. There was another comment from someone who was currently 6 weeks. Looks like they deleted their comment though.

@Allison Monique that's super late for a NIPT, I didn't think they even did them that late! It was more in reference to the person who said they're six weeks though, and some other recent posts/comments. Like I get if you're within a couple of weeks and think you might deliver early (I'm April 7, so I don't think it would be too weird to join the March 2025 group) or your due date is right at the cusp of the month.

@Audrey It just depends on what's Doctor you uses My Doctor don't do it until you're Beginning of your second trimester Because of they're not really concerned more about your baby sex then the genetic part For instance if she's overweight slightly a lot of doctors would wait The sex of your baby is pretty much a 100% Accurate But the genetics can be tricky

I've always seen it as the sex being a secondary sort of benefit that comes along with the genetic testing. Also always seen the recommendation as 10-14 weeks, I was under the impression that that is when the results are most accurate, but I haven't read much about it since my last was born in 2020 and it's relatively new technology that is changing rapidly! This is the first time I found out that I'm a carrier for cystic fibrosis; there wasn't a carrier screen portion on the ones I had before and I don't think it screened for as many things. This one also offered an add-on service if we wanted to know the probability of various physical characteristics like eye color, hair color, etc!
