Ugh I Just fell

Should i be concerned? I didn’t fall on my belly i tripped over my sons scooter inside our house and fell sort of on it sitting down on my butt/ side. I bruised my arm where i fell on the scooter/counter. Im icing it now and i feel baby kick. But I can’t help but feel scared. Ugh it hurt but im crying cause im sad and scared. Good thing i have a doctors apt tomorrow morning.

I am just commenting as I am also curious. I almost tripped over my husbands belt walking to the bathroom last night. I would probably call to be safe but since it was not on your belly I wouldn’t be as worried. 😟 sorry I’m not more help!

I wouldn’t worry too much. If you didn’t fall on your belly you should be ok. But of course let your doctor know. My mom fell on her belly with twins at like 24 weeks. And they were born perfectly fine at 38 weeks and they were giant for twins! I bump into stuff with my 30 week belly all the time… I know it’s different but I talked to my midwives and they said that baby is so well padded in there it takes a lot of force. Hopefully you can rest well tonight and not be too anxious about it

@Delainey thank you so much! yes that gives me some peace of mind.

Mention the fall to your doctor tomorrow! As long as baby is moving around and you’re not in any pain you should be ok!

@Jasmine i will thank you

I fell today at work , my office chair rolled from under me while I was trying to sit … animated (slow ) falling on the ground on my bum …. I started laughing because it was funny to me …. But everyone around me was sooo concerned I’m like trust I’m fine I landed on my bum very slowly… he’s been active since tooo no worries for me

My OB said it depends on how far along you are. I tripped over a rug and didn’t fall on my belly but because I’m in the 3rd trimester they wanted me to go to the OB ER. Everything ended up being fine but I apparently had some contractions.

Unfortunately any kind of fall, especially in the third trimester poses a risk for placental abruption. Just see your Dr in the AM and let them know! You're probably fine but they like to be safe!

@Kelso oh no. I hope my doctor doesn’t want me to go to the ER i have a toddler and have to pick up my oldest from school after my apt. Ugh im 30 weeks. Let’s see what she says.

She made me come get checked at l&d😩 specially because I’ve had decreased fetal movement. Better be safe than sorry i guess. Of course once im here she starts moving. But waiting for an ultrasound.

The reassurance is good though!!

@Delainey yes! Thankfully they let me bring my toddler and it went by so fast and left in time to pick up my oldest from school 😅
