I wouldn’t do it if you’re embryos are good quality. I would only transfer one. My first was a double transfer and it was a chemical pregnancy. Day 3 poor quality embryos. I’m planning a double transfer if my next single transfer doesn’t work as they are both lower quality embryos and my clinic are allowing this. But with good quality they will only transfer one. Twin pregnancy is high risk. And I wouldn’t do it if you’re idealising having twins. Babies are hard work. I have a 16 month old and Im nervous of getting twins.
Thank you girls 💝
My embryo grades are as follows: 5BB 3BB 3BB 4BBC 5BCBC Xx
I felt exactly the same for my last. I wanted to give myself the best chance due to past unexplained miscarriage I took the risk of 2 from my good grades embryos, after days of indecision. Transferred 2 embryos at age 39, they were frozen when I was 33. I was blessed with a successful pregnancy of 1 baby. He’s 9 months old now. It’s good to be informed, etc but the best is to go with your intuition. Good luck!
I've done embryo transfer 3 times and the last time they were genetically tested and I never had twins. I was 37. The last time was an egg donor aged 24.
So Iv had the day to think, and ultimately the priority is a healthy baby, so we’ve decided to transfer our 5BB, 3BB and 3BB one at a time, and if they dont work we’ll transfer the last 2 together 👍🏼 thank you for your comments xx
I did a double embryo transfer, ended up pregnant with twins however sadly lost one at 8 weeks, the other baby grew perfectly and was born at 28weeks (incompetent cervix). It was my fertility specialist who suggested the double and it took me a few months to agree to it, he didn't know what else to do for us through ivf after recurring miscarriages. I'm glad we did it because it gave us our rainbow
@Caz wishing you the best. I did a double transfer on my first transfer and had a 9w twin missed miscarriage (euploid embryos) after that I wasn’t willing to try it again and did one at a time. I have a 3 and 1 year old from single transfers since then 🤍
Hey hun, my fourth transfer was a double and I’m currently 7 pregnant weeks pregnant with one. My embryos are ages 34. I knew the risks and thought double was best for me as my first two transfers failed and my third resulted in a chemical. My clinic didn’t want me to have a double transfer on my third transfer but allowed me to on my fourth. Feel free to message me if you wanna chat xx
