Private scan?

Hey everyone! Has anyone done a private scan? Was it worth it? Would you recommend it or not? I haven’t had any scans yet, I *think* I’ll be 10 weeks on Saturday but could be a bit further ahead. I didn’t do any private scans with my first child but have already had quite a lot of stress in this pregnancy and wonder if the reassurance would be helpful. I could get one booked in as soon as Saturday, so when I should be bang on 10 weeks. Or maybe I should just hold on and not pay £75!!

I’m having one on the 30th. Mainly so we can tell family because we are currently living with them and it’s hell 😅 I never had one with my other 2 but wanted to get them. Thought this is a good excuse to see our bean that bit extra

I’ve had private scans all the way through my pregnancy from 6 weeks I must of had about 10 and I’m 28 weeks😂it’s got to the point now all the staff know us personally. If you find a good business to do it I’d say it’s 10000x worth it. I think I have a private scan addiction😂😂😂xxx

We got one at 7 weeks. At hey baby it was £45. I’m really glad we did because I was impatient to know if everything was ok! It’s super short but you don’t need long just a couple minutes to see your bean and their heartbeat ❤️

I've had two so far and think that they were both worth it. The first one was at 8 weeks and was £75, but worth it for the reassurance, check places like Groupon as they usually have offers. The place I used also has a mid week deal where you get a 15 minute scan for £49. With the second one I felt my hand was forced a little as I was keen to do the NT scan (12 weeks), whilst the NHS can do this up to 14 weeks +1 they have booked me in for 17 weeks so for peace of mind I decided to go privately, this was rather expensive though. Hope this helps!
