Anyways, I always encourage my son to wave, shake hands, and high five others whenever he wants to and it’s appropriate. That’s how little ones learn to socialize. I bet your son delights others when he high fives and says hello to them!

Lol that's such a strange comment 'single mother antics' There's nothing wrong with that, he's literally 1 so you have plenty of time to teach him about stranger danger. If it were me I wouldn't pay attention to what he actually said and understand that it's mostly coming from his own shit and that he hearing what happened probably made him fearful for some reason and instead say just saying that he lashed out like you did something vs talking to you. That's on him to learn to communicate that in a healthy way, not you so I wouldn't put too much thought into it
