Nursery drop offs
Does any else LO get really upset when dropping them to nursery ? Mine screams and cries but as soon as he’s inside he apparently loves it and always comes out very happy at pick up’s.
He only does 3 days a week for 4-5 hours. And he is normally with me 24/7 as I am a single full time parent so I am assuming it is separation anxiety or something. At first he use to say I love going and even waking up in the morning asking to go nursery on the days off. But then completely changed after a few weeks and if I mention you have nursery today let’s get ready he will be so upset and say i don’t want to do, literally cries or screams on the way there when I drop him off.. it’s so hard.
Anyone else experiencing this or has any tips ? Staff says he is so good inside once he settled and loves playing with other kids it’s just the drop off that are hard.

I work in a nursery and you see it all the time very common and they all Typically settle the second they’re through the door or 5 mins re assurance my little girl is 2 and does three days 9/330 and she for some reason goes in happy but when it comes to going into her actual Room I need to lift her over the threshold and she seems to want a direct cuddle from who Evers doing hand over then goes off and plays x
My daughter is going through this phase too! She holds on to my leg sometimes! Hope it settles for you soon! You’re not alone mama ♥️

Going through exactly the same thing. She's been going since she was 11 months, 3 days a week and still screams her head off at drop offs. The staff say she's fine once she's inside, even when we pick her up she says she wants to go back tomorrow. We've tried everything we can think of to stop her from getting upset. We've ran out of ideas and are absolutely exhausted by it x
