@Patience sounds awful. I don’t have ocd and I’m pretty sure I don’t actually have imposter syndrome
I perpetually feel like I'm a 10 year old tricking people I'm in an adult body.
I thought imposter syndrome is feeling inadequate for a position you are actually qualified for, or feeling like you’re in a position that is above what you should have when in fact you are very equipped to be in it.
@Dory I asked chat gpt what this feeling is called and that’s what it gave me.
@Dory Imposter syndrome is literally feeling like anything you do that's successful, is done in a fraudulent way and people will soon find out you're not capable or equipped, even though you are. I'm pretty sure perfectionism is a form of imposter syndrome too but I dont know
@Dory I thought this too
I have this. Another thing common in adoptees.
@Dory imposter syndrome exists kinda everywhere within different contexts, Like even a lot of disabled people who have lower support needs than most with their same diagnosis (whether it’s physical like mobility, medical, or mental wise) get imposter syndrome even when they’ve had their conditions documented for years
This is my OCD lol 😭
