Help!

My little boy is 6 weeks old. For the last 2 weeks, he has been throwing up after every feed. He is EBF. The amount he throws up means a full change of clothes for both of us. My washing machine is on twice a day. I've been to the GP twice, and they've said there is nothing they can do as he is EBF. Could this be reflux?

It could be. If it is or isn’t though, gavascon could help this perhaps. Try and push for that and chat with your health visitor if you’re getting nowhere with the gp. Surely they should be trying something, he may struggle gaining weight if he’s throwing up this much.

He has already lost 10 oz in a week. The HV suggested taking him to the hospital. He doesn't need to be taken to the hospital. He just needs someone to give me a solution...

Taking him to the hospital might be the only way you get a solution. We didn’t get a diagnosis for our boy’s CMPA (of which reflux is a symptom) until he was hospitalised with it

I would take him hospital , he may not be receiving enough fluids,

That was my little girl and until I took her to hospital nobody would listen to me that something wasn’t right. Turned out she has CMPA and only at the hospital did they listen to me and actually help me by giving us the right formula x

My daughter has CMPA and has been switched to Amino Acid formula now, she throws up like this most evenings and we're still battling to get Gaviscon for her. The best way sometimes is the hospital as GPs are useless majority of the time when it comes to babies reflux and allergies, had to battle for months for my son x

Thank you, everyone! I've phoned 111 and waiting for a call back 🙂
