My baby was washed with Johnson and Johnsons baby wash in the hospital. I have continued to use it once or twice a week as well as milk baths, oatmeal baths, and water baths in between.
I used them straight away to as soon as she had a bath. I use Aveeno or Sanex. Johnson’s are extremely bad for babies skin. My health visitor and doctors both told me to avoid using them. I give my daughter a bath daily she’s nearly 4 months. I give her a bubble bath and wash her with products 2-3 times a week but I have to wash her hair daily because she’s always sick and ends up in her hair.
I top and tailed my baby using warm water and cotton wool until the umbilical cord fell off, once that did the health visitor said I could bath with a small amount of baby wash. I started using burts bees but now use child’s farm as he started to get some small bumps on his skin, child’s farm is really helping. The health visitor and midwife told me to avoid Johnson’s as there are so many perfumes and it affects baby’s sensitive skin
Once cord fell off, been using aveeno baby since
Midwife told us to bath baby in coconut oil so we’ve done that. She’s 2 weeks and only had 1 bath day 10. Top and tailed daily
Nala baby products are really good and the yuka app is good at telling you what products are good or not ❤️
I use a baby shampoo and have since he was about 3 weeks old.
@Paige aveeno is made Johnson and Johnsons
Except aveeno is a whole lot better for you baby then Johnson’s
I'm trying to find anything supporting your claim, genuinely. All I'm getting is articles talking about j&j using talc in their baby powder and them being an unethical company. But I can't find anything that says the baby wash is bad for skin.
It’s got so much perfume and all in which is bad for a baby’s skin. Also I wasn’t the only one that said it on these comments.
@Paige thanks for sharing. I really just didn't know. What page or app is that? I'd like to look at the different options before I go buy new baby wash later
You just scan the products and it will come up with everything
I’ve been told you don’t need to wash them with anything other than water for the first few months as babies don’t really get dirty. My hv also told me not to use j&j and if I was going to then wait until baby is 6 months old as it is really harsh on their delicate skin
We used baby wash/shampoo when he came home as a newborn, we use the parents choice one, the hospital sent us home with samples from Johnson and Johnson
