Mountain buggy duet - tyre puncture?

I was all set on the mountain buggy duet for my twins (also have a toddler) and I’m now panicked it’ll be the wrong choice due to the possibility of tyre punctures. The thought of me being out alone with the three of them and getting a puncture just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Has this been an issue for people or am I totally overthinking it?

It has happened once in almost 3 years because our enormous then 4yo was jumping in the pushchair with our twins in it. Even with the puncture I could still push the pushchair. It was easy to fix too. It's a great pushchair, definitely recommend.

I got a puncture and didn't notice for a little while, it was just a bit harder to push and didn't handle as easily. Also easily fixed with a bicycle puncture kit. If you were really worried about it I think you can buy different tyres for it that aren't air ones (whatever they're called)

You can put sealant in them I did with mine, bought from a push bike shop they put it in too

I had 2 punctures in 14 months but I was on a forest walks. now I keep a pump with me underneath just in case. You can get the mountain buggy with puncture proof wheels. For me it would still not deter me as it’s been great buggy and I have fitted through all door which was a must for me.

@Natalie I think I might do this !

@Sally yes it’s really worth it, I have had no issues at all and I’ve been in all sorts of areas :)
