Flu shot side effects/allergies?

I think we have our first flu/cold here now. My girl has some serious sniffles and runny nose. Her and I both got our flu shots Tuesday last week. Currently giving her Tylenol and Advil for the discomfort. Any advice for dealing with this to make it less horrible outside of medicating? We got basically zero sleep last night because of it. 🫤

Following because me and my little girl also have the flu.. got bad too .. we’re not eligible for the flu shot here in the uk unless certain reasons or over a certain age so I’m guessing you live in USA? .. we’re just clearing her nose out with the baby snot sucker multiple times a day, we also have a lavender plug in which helps

@Jess Canada for us. 6 months and up can get flu shot in Canada and they need a booster 4 weeks later for the first one they ever get. It’s not mandatory but recommended. With all the immune compromised people I know it’s best we get ours since we are able to and it helps protect others who can’t get it.

@Jess I just dosed my girl with both Tylenol and Advil because she’s in so much discomfort. Enough discomfort that she let me suction her nose😅 and seemed to be asking me to (when she wasn’t trying to eat the suction thingy lol)

Yeah saying that, I think our little ones jabs includes the flu shot 😂 I can’t remember what jabs she’s had to be honest, she’s had that many 😂
