Growth scan

I had mine the other day, it focuses more on the baby’s organs, looks at the head structure, abdomen, checks blood flow to the baby so similar but I wasn’t given pictures and it was a different kind of probe so couldn’t make out baby’s image as it was too zoomed in.

Following as I have one tomorrow too and haven’t had one before x

I had mine last week for 28 weeks ( I have GD) and it’s similar to the 20 week. They take measurements, predicted weight etc and also let you know where baby is plotting on the chart/percentiles also they said to me it was the last chance to get pictures if you wanted them, not sure why but I got some great ones this time x

It depends what the growth scan is for. My bump measured 3rd percentile so it was just to get an estimated size of baby which was by checking head circumference, abdominal circumference, femur length to get the weight and then they just double checked heart, cord function, fluid etc but they didn’t do any more in depth checks of organs and things
