Can you make a complaint about surestart? Cherish surestart.

I wasn't offered any antenatal classes through the western trust but got told to get in contact with surestart and do classes with them. I got in contact at the start of September via email and got ignored for 2 weeks. I sent another email after 2 weeks and got told they were arranging a home visit and would be in contact with me asap, probably a few days later. They didn't. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing I sent another follow up email and I got completely ignored again. I was due second week of November, so was running out of time. Another week passed and sent another email and again got ignored. I went into birth completely unprepared, and it ended up being a very traumatic birth which classes would have prepared me for. There was things that happened that never occurred to me to happen. I have now got in contact with them to avail of their postnatal services and I know for a fact I'm going to be ignored again. They have confirmed I'm in the catchment area. I'm not complaining about the wait in them getting in touch but the fact they are ignoring emails and leaving vulnerable parents in these positions. I have little to no family support, very little friends so I could really use the support of their services. Is there anyone I can contact to place a complaint?

The early years social work team is probably your best bet. Depending on your area there will also be a complaints procedure on the areas website.
