👋☺ Hi Emma! Here's the tricky thing about pull-ups. Its basically still a diaper. So a child feels like they can do their "business" as usual in it. A pull-up feels absorbent just like the snug comfy diapers/nappies your little cutie is used to peeing & pooping in since birth and never had to think about it, they can pee freely at any time. Heres a helpful video about the confusion caused by using pull-ups https://youtu.be/dl9tOmqESRw So technically it's not really changing anything or progressing forward with toilet training as far as the toddler can tell or "feel". So potty training hasn't technically started as far as your child knows.
👋☺@Charmaine Honestly it can take some toddlers more time getting used to pooping in a seated position (...and lots of practice) before they eventually become comfortable pooping on a potty or toilet rather than pooping in their familiar standing or squatting posture. You'll find so many valuable tips and helpful ideas in my potty training video series: "How to Get Your Toddler to go Poo on the Potty" !! Its free on my youtube channel and the videos are only 10 minutes and it really dives in to how to get your toddler to go poo on the potty!! 🙏 I'm here for you if you have any questions after watching the videos! https://youtu.be/wF7rHz_xXMU
I did a week of toilet training with pull ups before moving to pants, hes nailed going for a wee but still trying to get the poop cracked
