Nappies!

Hello all, my son was born on the 19th of November at 37 weeks. I was induced because he was too small, my consultant said he was “basically static in growth”. At my 35 week scan, he was 4lbs 5oz, 36 week scan he was 4lbs 10oz and was 5lbs 5oz at birth. D3 the midwife weighed him, he was 5lbs. Since birth he’s been using size 0 nappies, but just recently I’ve noticed he’s REALLY sore between his legs so I got size 1s to try and remedy this (been using cream on him to help soothe and reduce the soreness). However, it seems like size 0 are too small and (in my opinion) are causing the soreness by rubbing when he moves his legs and the size 1s are too big that he leaks when he pees. Anyone else having trouble with nappies? It seems like my son needs a size in between, the 1s are too big and 0s are too small! What can I do?🫠🫠

I dont think size is a problem. Try different brand maybe. My issue was I wasnt fully rubbing the nappy cream in, so nappy was soaking it in and it wasnt soaking pee or poo in that spot so my baby girl kept getting worse. Try rubbing the cream in, tapping her butt (they love it) and just generally let it breath for a few mins before you close the nappy. If that doesn't work I would change the nappy brand or speak to GP/HV. Good luck.
