White blood cells 12.4?

High neutrophils can be caused by many things such as infection, inflammation, certain medications etc. More seriously it can be certain types of cancer like leukaemia but it is more likely due to an infection or inflammation. Call your doctor tomorrow to discuss these results and they should be able to shed more light on the results.

The doctors notes say normal so I’m guessing there isn’t a follow up till my next appointment

This might be because even though the neutrophils are high, nothing else in your bloods indicate anything to be worried about. You can still give them a call and ask to discuss them. If you have anything like Ibs it isn’t uncommon for them to be high. I wouldn’t worry too much if the rest of your bloods look ok

I’ve also got sch too so maybe that’s what’s caused the elevated white blood cells

Very possible as it’s inflammation and injury. It causes a build up of blood so wouldn’t be surprising
