Itchy cradle cap

Hi all My 19wk old developed cradle cap a few weeks ago. We use baby shampoo(nala baby) We brush his hair but don't do anything to try remove it as read it can make it sore - some come away on their that are obviously loose. We don't try scrub it off. However this last week he's started scratching his head - mostly when he's having a fussy sleep (head tossing hitting arms) but he's purposefully trying to cratch the patch he has - and left red marks the other day where it's came away by too much force/ scratches. Any advice/ products to help soothe it/remove it gently

I tried to get the dentinox shampoo but it wasn’t in stock anywhere so I followed the baby oil method. I rubbed loads of baby oil into her small amount of hair about 45mins before her bath and then shampooed it. After the bath I pulled out the big flaky bits that were stuck in her hair and kept gently rubbing it with a towel to get more bits out. After 3 days it was much better and now she has none. Good luck x

We put olive oil on her head an hour before bath time. Then applied mustela cradle cap shampoo, let it sit for a few minutes and then used that comb Nikki posted. Was totally gone in 2 washes. Granted it wasn’t awful cradle cap but it felt like magic.

I put baby oil on my boys head once a day and after a bath. It keeps it at bay. Its still there as it becomes flakey if I miss a day but it keeps it under control
