Weird looking placenta/mass near baby 16 weeks

Hi! I had a private scan yesterday at 16 weeks and the sonographer said everything looks good and they have no concerns. I’ve had 2 previous losses so I’m particularly nervous this pregnancy and while looking back at the scan photos, I noticed a weird mass near the baby’s legs. Almost looks like the placenta is going back on itself but I’m not even sure it’s the placenta. I just know I have an anterior placenta so it could be? Is it normal that it looks like that? I know that the sonographer would have most likely said something if it was concerning but I can’t help but wonder what it is and kicking myself for not asking then. It just looks so weird.

Honestly they are trained in this stuff and would have said if there was anything of concern. As someone who’s had 2 previous losses also,I totally get the anxiety, but honestly it will be completely normal if she didn’t mention anything x

🤔 Could be the cord.

@Danielle defo not cord, I run theory groups so know what the cord would look like. I’m not entirely sure what this is but I think it could the placenta , but movement while taking the photo has captured it funny.

That’s most definitely the placenta on our 4d scan last time my son was actually using the placenta as a pillow! 😂
