Don’t be like me and buy new born/ 0-3 month clothes, just had my shower and I’m absolutely drowning in them 🥲 If your going to buy baby clothes definitely get basics like the Gerber plain white onesies/socks etc, and if you buy cute clothes definitely get over 3/6 months.

Almost everything was irresistible 😚, but I grabbed a dress, socks & bows for my daughter & blankets & bottles for my son! Have fun!!!🤗

@Jaliyah whilst that’s great advice. Not everyone has a baby shower. And not everyone gets an abundance of gifts even if they do.

It was kind of split between something for myself and baby… A boppy and got my breast pump ordered early through Aeroflow!

Crib, stroller, carseat are the big ones. A changing setup that you will be able to live with for years (don't get bullied into a change table, you'll be done with it the moment you're alligator wrestling an angry toddler who no longer fits the space and is grabbing everything in sight. Bottles if you'll use them, and just in case, because you never know with breastfeeding. Get a few just to try because baby may hate them, so you won't be stuck with a set of 12 or 16. We found the warmer a necessity for night feeds but not everyone does. Avoid clothes and blankets for now, people love to buy them or make them as gifts for newborns. Grab maybe one or two blankets you really like, one for warm weather, one for cool. They also won't be interested in toys until much later. Glider or rocker, although they may hate it at first, most newborns prefer to be up and moving so it may take some time.

We used a pack n play with a bassinet attachment for the first 6 months. Baby slept in the bassinet at first, then the lower part of the pack n play, until we moved her into her own room. Now the pack and play functions as baby jail at home, and a travel bed while away. So great long term use.

I had been buying little cute things before I got pregnant but for me some cute sheets for the nursery and baskets for organizing : )

I had a shirt that I loved and later found a toddler version. I swore if I got pregnant I’d go back and buy it so at 6 weeks pregnant just before my first ultrasound I went and bought the tshirt in a 3t because it was the smallest they had. My daughter just grew out of it and it’s packed away until baby #2 can wear it

The first thing I’ve bought is some newborn clothes and a boppy. Other than that, I have a lot of stuff left over from my daughter who’s 1.

I found out I was pregnant the middle of January, so all the Christmas stuff was marked down. I bought little Christmas booties and an ultrasound picture frame. Although, I bought diapers before I was pregnant. First big purchase was crib and dresser because they were on a long back order. I think it was right around the 12 week mark.

First item I bought for my baby boy was cowboy boots 🤣 I was probably around 20 weeks. They were so tiny and cute I couldn’t resist. But I’m also 16 weeks right now with my 2nd!

First item we bought was a little outfit after our 20 week scan 😊

The first thing I bought was a pram , and just because i was getting used , it took me time to find . followed with next to me and a bath .. and i think that was all my shopping as the rest was gifted ..

First thing I bought for my first was a little pack of dummies, for some reason I really struggled to start buying anything baby related and wound up doing most of the shopping in a rush after she was born at 28 weeks 😂

The first thing I bought my son was socks after we found out we were having a boy because thats when things got real for me. My grandmother payed for a car seat and stroller so that was next. I didn't have a baby shower so everything else I had planned from 12-20 weeks based on when sales would be, then anything I did get was just bonus.

@Rachael this is exactly how I feel 😩

@Antonella don’t buy anything until you really want to… go round the shops looking at baby stuff and wait for something to jump out at you, there’s no rush
