I personally wouldn't with an allergy. Any skin it's on would probably be affected. But I'd also like to add that i tried using them & I hated the feeling of keeping my raw nipples moist & closed off from air. I felt better having them exposed to air and sunlight lol. Come to find out my lactation consultant told me it's not great to use those. Our body's wounds scab up as part of the healing process and the wounds do that when exposed to air. She said that allowing them to scab and heal, scab and heal, is what makes the process move along faster. This made sense to me and also confirmed how my body was experiencing the whole silver cups verse no silver cups. I also had a friend share with me along the process that she felt great when she exposed them to air and sunlight through the windows of her house. She'd sit near a window and bathe them in the light. I did the same. Have to say, it worked for us, although it did take weeks. 🙏🏼 Best of luck!!
I think it would not be worth the risk for you. I've never needed them, and actually I've seen people who have been using them too much, and they make the nipples worse! Keeping it warm and moist and swampy doesn't allow the skin to breathe or heal. I know some people rave about them though. There are other things you can do to help sore nipples, you may not even need anything. After the first 3 days I have never had any problems with my nipples, no soreness or cracking or bleeding
