Pcos and infertility

I have been diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago after never having consistent periods pretty much my whole life. My husband and I have been trying for our second baby for almost a year now and have already tried to induce ovulation through forcing a period on progesterone. I was wondering what everyone’s experience was with when ur doctor switched to ovulation inducing medications. I’m trying to be patient but it’s so lonely, heart breaking, and frustrating dealing with this. I’ve started to be better in what I eat and have been taking supplements for PCOS and still nothing. I track ovulation and have gotten no positives either, at this point were feeling pretty hopeless.

Ovulation strips were never good for me, they tell you when you’re trying to ovulate but don’t actually confirm anything, which for PCOS isn’t reliable. I would “gear up” to ovulate almost every month at least once before I would actually ovulate, which means that for most people who stop after they get their positive I would not be BD on the right days. Ovulation induction medications. I tried clomid and I assume it worked for ovulation but I never got pregnant on it. I used it for several months. We also tried it with a trigger shot and IUI and nothing. This was under an OBGYN. I tried ovasitol, and femara with trigger shot and IUI under an RE and got pregnant. That was all for my first daughter. For my second we did not use any ovulation induction. We used ovasitol, metformin and ovucore to track ovulation.
