I had a low lying placenta and at my 32 week scan they said it had moved up and i could go natural ( first birth) i ended up having contractions at 39+1 and during but baby was in distress and got took for an emergency section my placenta didn’t actually move so was coving my cervix so baby couldn’t get out. most of the time if it’s just low lying it will move as the womb expands but i had partial placenta praevia
I had it up until I have birth at 37+6 due to haemorrhaging at 35 weeks because of major placenta previa. They put me down for an elective section. My waters broke that same day I was having the section. So I was first on list during to how high risk I was. Hopefully everything goes okay and it moves for you❤️
I also had one at my 20 week scan and then at my 32 it had moved.. Its really common for it to move x
I had complete placenta Previa. Found at 16 weeks, confirmed at 20 weeks. Had a scan at 32 weeks and was completely covering, another at 36 weeks where it had completely moved. I still opted for a C-section and had been booked at 32 weeks for 39 weeks. Luckily had no bleeding throughout. I was told when I still have Previa that they would deliver between 37-39 weeks all being well so I booked Mat Leave to start at 37 weeks
I also booked my maternity leave at 34 weeks, you do what’s best for you and baby. But I’d say if it doesn’t move. Booked it between 32/34 weeks as you should have another scan then to see if it’s moved or not xx
Hey, I had a low lying placenta at the 20 week scan. At 32 weeks it had moved up so a “natural” birth was possible, although, I ended up with a c section anyway. It was my first pregnancy. In terms of work, I finished for maternity leave 4 weeks before my due date and ended up having a planned C-section at 39+4 weeks because they said baby was going to be huge-9lb plus. They were totally wrong and he came out at 7lb!
