I had very similar, consultant just advised monitoring and to be induced at 38wks. Everyone is different though so dont panic, scans can be very inaccurate x
This might be nothing to worry about, scans are really bad at assessing actual weight, especially further into your pregnancy. It may be a sign of growth restriction, or just within the expected range of normal variation from one scan to next so try not to panic while awaiting the assessment on Tuesday. Worst case scenario, you have more information to take care of your baby with to make the best decisions for them. ❤️❤️
It’s often because they can’t get an accurate measurement due to baby’s head being lower down as they measure from the top of their head. I wouldn’t worry too much about it which is easier said than done x
Don’t worry until they tell you to! 🥰 my friend was scanning small for a little while and they also wanted to schedule her for induction and then all of a sudden in the last two weeks her baby had a huge growth spurt and she didn’t need to induce or anything. I’ve also had scans tell my friends their babies were like 13 pounds and they did not come out that way - so I don’t know how closely accurate the scans are!
Try not to worry 🥰 I had reduced growth velocity over 3 growth scans. I refused inductions because I know that the scans can be very inaccurate. They worry that the placenta might be failing but they really don’t know… On my 4th growth scan his weight had gone right up and they weren’t concerned anymore so I would have been induced for no reason. It was my second pregnancy and I was confident in refusing but listen to the consultants and do what’s right for you!
I had a scan at 35 weeks and she was measuring at 9lb 5 and when I went a 37 weeks and she was measuring 9lb 2 according to the scan which made me panic and worry she was losing... I had my planned c section at 38+2 and she was 10lb 3 born! They are harder to predict later on
Try not to worry scans can be wildly in accurate
