Mental health

Dealing with my 5 years old twins has seriously affected my mental health. Night time is the worst . They don't want to go to bed until 10 or 11 pm, so every night, bedtime is a struggle even where they run around all day. It's cold outside so I can not take them to the park . Unless their is technology involved, they are constantly moving, and it's exhausting, no real downtime at night because they go to bed late even though they have school in the mornings Most night I don't go to bed until at least 1am because I stay up just to have a little time to myself. Their father only takes them to see family, no park, mall, or any event unless I plan it. I'm just mentally exhausted and no longer enjoy being a parent and doing all the cleaning, planning, and most cooking and laundry .

I was in your shoes a couple of years ago. My twins ran around like crazy at bedtime until I created the 5 rules of bedtime. 1. You may only leave your room to go to the bathroom 2. No jumping in or out of bed 3. No yelling/screaming 4. No turning on the lights 5. No playing with the curtains It took 2 incredibly hard weeks of enforcement, but it was life changing. I also got an alarm clock that changes colors. They could play quietly until it turned red, which helped as well. Plus, they couldn't leave their room until it turned green in the morning (unless it was to go potty). Feel free to message me.
