Went thru this with my now 5 year old in kindergarten when he was in 4k last yr. He was sent to the school office to see the principal several times and I got many phones calls I will say we knew he has adhd he was actually diagnosed right before he turned 4 which is really rare but the doctor noticed how severe his was and his behaviors. He was on a medication 3x a day for it while in 4k and I still got calls and he was still being sent to the office so his doctor suggested having him see a behavioral health therapist. Honestly that was one of the best decisions we ever made was to move forward with the therapist. Idk why or how even tho I was present for all of his therapy but it just made his behaviors so much better almost non existent. Most of the time schools have an agency that they work with that has a therapist come in and provide the therapy which for my son was play therapy once a week for an hour.
Whooping is a form of physical abuse and won’t help anything. Just causes trauma.

My daughter went through this when she started 3k full day-daycare. I was talking with another mom and she made it make sense. She said it’s because she doesn’t have control at school. She’s in a more structured environment with other kids and have to follow the rules of the teacher. By the time she makes it home she’s in her comfort zone so she tests the limits. Be patient with correcting her behaviors, in a sense be her peace but be stern with what’s naughty and she’ll start to level off her emotions.
