Pregnacare (trying for a baby) tablets

Hi all, I am currently trying for my second child.. I started taking the pregnacare tablets and am now 6 days late.. I have had a negative test, Is it the tablets delaying my period, or have I taken the test too soon? I have had cramps everyday. Thanks x
