Youre legally entitled to paid time off work for all antenatal appointments, so ask for them to be scheduled during work hours when your child is already in childcare
Have you explained the problem to your midwife and asked if they can allow your son at the clinic appointments? I don’t have a child yet so haven’t had to go through this myself, but when I’ve been attending appointments I’ve seen loads of other ladies arrive with their pre-school-age children x
@Gillian they will most probably make me make the time up and I can’t due to childcare
@Helen I’m going to call them tomorrow and find out
@Samantha it’s paid time off so they can’t make you make up the time
I believe you can take your son with you, just tell them you don't have childcare...midwife is much easier then scans, I had my daughter several times and she is not a calm baby...and I had her twice for a scans, it was really hard, but I apologized and somehow we managed to do a scan, but I had to keep her on me Good luck xx
Your work should allow you leave to attend your appointments. Can you not book your appointments for when you're normally in work?
