I had one a week after mine I had a pico machine on my c section scar so it heald a lot faster on the outside went to docotr to get it removed and she said I was completely healed from outside so I was given the okkay to bath
I had a bath 2 weeks postpartum, just water though. Not too hot and no fragranced soaps or bubble bath and you’ll be fine. Be careful getting out do it slowly if you don’t have someone to help you
3 weeks with the baby 😂 midwife gave the ok, as long as it wasn’t too hot, too long and it was dried well. My wound had a couple of patches where it wasn’t entirely healed (white patches rather than pink/red), but I gave it a few days to finish healing externally first.
Wait for your doctor to clear you. Last thing you want is an infection in a very serious area.
@Skye that thing is amazing but they told me not to soak it
@Shynel yeah you wasn’t allowed to soak it I had to shower for first few days I was home as u wasn’t allowed to get it wet so it was annoying but once it’s gone I went straight for a bath and loved every minute hahahaha
@Skye oh yea that first bath or getting to lay on your stomach again is amazing
I had a bath 3 days postpartum and everything was fine, just don’t have it too hot xx
6 weeks from what I was told as it has to be healed, I waited 8 weeks though and just got by with really hot showers! That first bath was amazing x
I was told 6 weeks but think I waited a bit longer as I was nervous 😅
I was told to wait for dressing to be off and at that appointment they checked the healing and said it was good to have a bath then. That was a week after the section.
6 weeks or until your dr. clears you. That is generally how long the wound inside your uterus takes to heal and thats the biggest concern for infection, as its not visible
My midwife suggested I take a bath one week postpartum to help me get the dressing off gently. As others have said, just water no products. Enjoy!
Has your wound healed?? No signs of infection?? Xx
