12 week scan QA hospital

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and just wondering what to expect. I know I have to have a full bladder but is there anything else anyone would recommend doing? I’m assuming my partner can come with me in the room? How much are scan photos and is there a limit on how many you can get?

No limits on photos you can request as many as you like. My little girl was in an awkward position so they recommended eating some fizzy sweets and drink plenty of fluids this doesn't have to be water. 12 week scan i felt very nervous but thats to be expected and yes partner can come in with you x

Yes your partner will be able to come into the room with you :) There is a machine at the back of the waiting room that you use to pay for photos. I didn’t realise but you’re actually meant to pay for how many you want before you go into the scan! We didn’t realise this so we had our scan and then they printed our photos for us and we went to the machine to pay afterwards. I can’t remember how much they were, you get one for free and I think wepaid about £7 or £8 for 5? I honestly can’t remember though, it was a year ago now and my partner sorted it for me 😂 There’s 3 parts to the 12 week scan which i also didn’t realise, first I got called in by the midwives assistants to have my bloods taken, and bmi checked, then we got called into the scan room, and then we had to go back into the waiting room to get called up to talk to a consultant I think it was. She just asked questions about my health ect but I was low risk so pretty straight forward. You also get offered your flu jab! x

I never paid for any of my photos at QA, my baby is 4 months so it wasn't that long ago 😅
