Hey! I was told by my GP the only time he would be concerned about EBF baby poo is when there’s blood in it! Obvs check with your own gp if you’re super worried but I think without any other symptoms it’s totally normal to be varying colour/consistency/mucus. X
Hey! Looks normal to me but it looks like baby might be getting too much “fore milk”, as this can lead to green poos in breastfed babies. We had this so I tried to do my best to keep her on the same boob longer. I burped her and then offered the same boob again if I thought she looked like she was “done”
My LO is similar to this 🙂
Thank you ladies!!! He has no other symptoms, no rashes, and is normally quite settled apart from before bed time when he is fussy until he does some farts and a poo. Also not seen any blood in his stool. I don’t think it’s too much foremilk as he feeds on one boob per feed for a minimum of 12 mins xxxx
My baby had green poos for nearly 4 weeks and i thought it was due to his vaccinations as it started afterwards but I've had to cut milk and soy out of my diet as he's not putting on enough weight and its been 2 weeks and he's finally gone back to yellow
My boy has been doing these for over 2 months:/ Zoe so it took 2 weeks to see result in poop? And were there any other symptoms? I guess that means it is an allergy for you? Sorry so many questions!
I’d say fine xx
@Ren apparently it takes around 2 weeks to get dairy our of your system (and therefore baby's system too). I thought he had reflux as he's really sicky and it can be quite aggressive but it does seem to be calming down slightly now. My GP sent me to paediatric assessment at the hospital and they were very helpful and ruled out a scarier stomach issue
My babies poos look like this now and then, my health visitor said don't worry unless it has blood in it
My babies is similar and sometimes looks like mucus in it too. But no other symptoms no rash no hysterical crying in pain etc so I haven’t bothered to cut out dairy
I rung the gp today and he said green and slime is not normal. He then asked if he’s fussy and I said he is not, then he asked if he strains when he poos and I said sometimes he does like a vocalised push before. He said I need to come in and have him seen tomorrow :/
We had the same and GP advised to cut out all diary and soy for 6 weeks and to see if it changes! To check if it’s an allergy and then reintroduce it at the end to see the difference
