I'm a first time mother and I feel bad my 1 yr old doesn't have other kids to hang out with I was generally a loner before I had my son and now I feel like it's my fault he's also alone I tried to keep him company as much as possible

I can relate because my son doesn't have kids to play with. We just moved, and I've been too busy to have time to make new mom friends and my husband, the SAHP, is too much of an introvert to find play dates for our son. My CDC Milestones app asks if he copies other children and I have no clue because he rarely gets to interact with other kids...

One time some kids came over and he smiled and looked at me as if he wanted permission to play with them my heart melted

It was similar with my first! When the weather gets better go to the park as much as you can! I made several really good friends with similar aged kids just by being at the park at the same time. Winter is hard because everyone is just trying to keep their kids healthy. I haven't seen any of my mom friends in a month and a half 😅

Same here, we just don’t have many people in our friend group with kids let alone this young/that live close to us. And idea: We go to a local consignment shop for kids and there would always be other kiddos there. One of the older kids (3y) handed my girl a ball and then ran off. 🥹
