Increasing feed
We have increased the feed for our little boy this week, he’s three weeks and we are using aptamil. Is it normal that he is now pooing little and often since the formula increase? He is a hungry boy. TIA

I think anything can be normal as long as your LO doesn’t seem out of sorts, feeds, gains weight steadily, is peeing plenty and has normal coloured/consistency poos when they do go. Ours went the other way and barely pooed for days then a nice large splatter before resuming his normal poo regime. Also a hungry boy. If in doubt ask your HV.
We are combo feeding and increased his formula and his poos have reduced, sometimes he doesn’t go for a full day or 2, I have given him a bit of water in his bottle and that helped to get one out!

I want to say yes - my little girl is about to be 3 weeks and we also increased feedings (both breast milk and formula) and she poops often, sometimes little sometimes a lot. But then again I’m also a FTM
