Spotting

I am 7+1 today and when wiped had a small amount of fresh blood and light cramps. I called my midwife and she referred me to the EPU. Scan booked for Monday, I can’t wait that long to find out what’s going on so have moved my private scan which was booked for Sunday to this evening. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks x

I’ve had on and off bleeding for 3 weeks now, it can vary from dark brown to bright red. I’m 8+2 and all was good with my scan on Saturday last week. Wishing you all the best with your scan tonight 🤞 x

@Poonam id probably say as long as you’re not filling a pad every hour or so and no clots then that’s normal x

@Poonam absolutely! They should do with any experience with bleeding, they might wait until you’re at least 6 weeks because I’ve found with scans at EPU they can’t really see much before 6 weeks, whereas if you go for a private scan they see so much more! Just keep at them x

When i had a MMC in October i was 7+4 i only bled every time i wiped. When i called EPU they didn’t want to see me unless i bled a whole pads worth every hour. I couldn’t wait i was so anxious so i booked a private scan that same evening and it was confirmed theres no heartbeat and I’ve miscarried. I really don’t want to scare you but you have done right to book a private scan for your own reassurance. Hope it all goes well.
