Mine does too. She will eat one piece, throw a piece, eat one, repeat 😅
Mine does too, that's usually how we know he's done (although sometimes he'll eat whatever fell in his bib after this). We tried telling him no, and even catching things mid air, but he also thinks it's hilarious. My parents said not to react when he does it because he's trying to get a reaction, and if he sees you react he'll do it more, I've tried doing that and I feel like he drops stuff less if it's just him and I eating, but when my husband is home he reacts everytime so he does it several times, while staring at my husband to see his face, and my son has a huge smile on his face.
Yup, 95% of the time it's because he's done eating. Totally normal. I start putting any leftover pieces back on the plate, sign and say all done, and clean up. Eventually they learn to stop.
I usually just let her 😅 as long as shes eaten a majority of it. She eats till she’s full then the rest is the dogs. Sometimes she’ll call him over and share in between but we’ve been trying to stop it now since the dog is overweight 🥲. I just take the plate when I see her throwing food. Then feed it to her if I think she’s still hungry.
Yep! Mine is too and it’s stressing me out. He thinks it’s funny to feed the dogs. I try one bite at a time, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.
When she starts throwing we ask/say all done and then she’ll usually say “done” and we take her out of the chair and go play. We also correct to show we’re to put food instead of throwing. We don’t give thrown food back or give more either
Mine too.. if I give her one peice at a time she eats or just let her walk around with food she can hold
Yes!! My son does this a lot and thinks it’s hilarious. He gives it to the dog. I try not to have a big reaction. And he usually starts throwing food when he’s not hungry anymore. If he continues to do it after 1-2 times of me correcting him I just take it as he’s done and end mealtime. But I’ve read this is super normal for this age. Very annoying and messy, but normal lol
@Madison same 😂
Mine is. She gives it to the dog. That’s how I know she’s done so I don’t give her anything else.
