Superstition and scared

I’m the same! 18 weeks and haven’t bought a single thing and only last week went through a box of clothes I was gifted cause I’m so superstitious 😩

@Leonie I’m just scared to be disappointed or be surrounded by things and it go wrong. To the point where I got my friend some nappies but they were the wrong size so she said to keep them and I took them to my mums house to keep them there!

I am similar. I didn't buy anything until I had my 20 week scan this week and now I've started buying a few small bits. We've still time though!

@CiCi I feel you completely 😔 and since pregnancy has been brutal, I know I wouldn’t have the strength to ‘try again’ anytime soon.

@Leonie I think I might just do an Amazon prime when I am in labour 😂

@Leonie my friend literally did that! She didn’t know what she was having and didn’t want a load of gender neutral stuff so after she gave birth she just did a load of next day delivery! I think it’s the best plan haha

Was 20 weeks for my first but I’m thinking of waiting a little longer this time because I’m high risk and also scared

i’ve bought a little set and some sleepsuits from next cause i was buying clothes for my daughter so thought i might as well buy a few things. i’ve already got a few bits leftover from my first, plus if anything happens i’ll just donate the clothes to a mother and baby unit or something. i’m gonna hold out on buying the pram until a bit later on as i bought it at 18 weeks and rushed to buy it and ended up not liking it and having no room for it😂

I was told I am low risk pregnancy but I still d didn’t buy anything mainly cus it’s still a lot of time for it so I think I am going to buy when I am 7 plus months and now with fast delivery etc I don’t think it’s an issue anymore

I bought things after 12 week scan, only small bits nothing big, then going to buy pram and crib etc after 20 weeks x

I feel the exact same I’m so glad it’s not just me. I’m having my 20 week scan on Friday which I’m hoping will ease my anxiety; although it’s actually at 19w2d so then I’m feeling like it’s not 20 weeks so it’s not as certain everything is okay 🙈

1st pregnancy I didn’t but anything u til I was 35weeks! Then I hit John Lewis VERY HARD

I’m waiting til my 20 week scan I found with my first I ended up buying more stuff after they were born. But this time I will probably hit vinted for babygrows.
