Is this normal?

My little boy has just turned 3 months and had started doing the same 😊

@Beth It is literally so weird! Hopefully it means good things for weaning in 3 months!

If my little one is sitting on my knee while I’m eating as he hates getting put down. Every time I put food to my mouth he opens his as if I’m supposed to give my food to him. He’s only 13 weeks and is very interested in food even though we feed him before we feed ourselves, even if we’re out and about and he sees someone eating he opens his mouth. He’s a very slevery baby but it seems to get worse when he sees food 😂

@Megan my wee one loves it when I eat celery he finds it funny when it snaps. Think he likes the noise 😂

@Anna It's so funny to see their reactions to new things! I was eating a strawberry yesterday and my daughter was just gawping at me!

My little girl is the same, my paeditrician actually asked me yesterday if she was doing this and sucking her hands/fists which she is and he said it’s early but so normal, he said you can either start offering purée foods in my arms not sitting up yet or wait a month and revisit and try!

@Tiffany how old is your little one. We were advised to wait till he was 17 weeks old x

@Anna 13 weeks! He did say completley up to us but she’s showing lots of signs she’s interested so we can try as long as she’s on our lap or we can wait. We had to go see a speech therapist for some feeding issues and they recommended us to try purées in the coming week but I’m not 100% ready to start to the new year at least haha

My baby has started watching me eat all the time. I can’t wait until she’s old enough to start trying solids!
