I just don’t understand how they don’t understand it.

They get to shower without fear of the house imploding or any one getting hurt, we have to ask to shower, not cause we need permission, but because we’d like to secure our child’s safety. But damn, they really are not capable of fucking watching their own kids. And they don’t understand where the frustration about it comes from even when you break it down, to such a dumb level. Because they can’t stand how much they fucking lack. Never relying on this man to watch his son when I plan to shower again. I’ll just keep the bathroom door open and keep my ears peeled for every single noise I hear. Why have any expectations of your child’s other parent when you can literally just do it all your fucking self.

I’m a single mom and have to do what I have to do so sometimes I’ll put him in his swing r car seat by the door of the bathroom while I shower

@Lay oh the sad part is we manage absolutely just fine when I just do it by myself. Anytime I think or expect that his father will just yanno, actively watch his own child, I am severely disappointed. Just gonna never expect his assistance ever again. (:

I'd be threatening the fucker with separation. Which means split custody. He will soon learn that watching a child so mum can have a decent 20 minutes to shower alone which doed not count as personal time that counts as a basic hygiene right but he will learn how lonely you've felt doing it all by yourself whilst having someone beside you thst can help but hasn't.

I haven’t showered since Wednesday. Why? Because my daughter has decided to stay up all night, so I can’t wait until she’s asleep. During the day, no one can watch her because everyone is working. I can bring her in with me sometimes, but it’s really difficult when it’s my time to shave. Also, I shouldn’t have to bring her in with me just to shave. Unfortunately, she’s just too old for me to keep her in something so she’s entertained and I can watch her (18 months).

@Sierra yeah our son is almost 2 years old, and I take him in the shower every night. Because it’s the only way I get to shower.
