Eat what you feel and like @Laurel said as long at you don’t have gestational diabetes you should be perfectly fine mama.
My partner cares about what I eat to a moderate extent, primarily looks at ingredient lists and googles them to see if they could impact the baby’s development. Like apparently BTH is a preservative that isn’t great, and neither is licorice. Didn’t know any of these things before getting pregnant and googling everything. I care about what I eat to the extent that it could impact the child’s appetite or his metabolism in the future. I hope that he has a developed taste for a wide variety of healthy foods. Of course, I have my treats every day too though- ice creqm, pizza, fries.. kid needs to be able to process processed foods. 😆 In the end, your bf seems to be coming from a good place, but sounds like you need some aligning to do. Best thing is to talk to a nutritionist, they’re totally reasonable people and could help your bf chillax and know your baby is fine. I hope you two are able to sync up! Use third party help if needed!
A lot of people will say that they ate this or that and their babies came out fine— but I would look at long term effects. I say this because I worked as a behavioral therapist for a long time, and diet definitely impacts a child’s behaviors at home and in school.
Men like this are so weird. They’re not the ones carrying the child and going through 9 months of it. Tell him he can choose what to eat when HE gets pregnant (:
As long as you don’t have gestational diabetes he needs to calm down! It’s sweet that he cares about you and baby but at the same time your a person who should be able to make their own decisions and a little sweet food won’t hurt!
