Anyone else’s baby measured big at midwife appointment?

I had a midwife appointment on Thursday and was told that baby is measuring big, so I’ve been booked in for a growth scan. I was feeling generally okay about it until I started googling tonight. 🙈 Anyone else had this and everything turned out okay?

I was sent for a growth scan cause my fundal height was a bit smaller than the previous time (it’s super hard for them to measure accurately!) and my baby is actually measuring 97th percentile so is big! 🤣 The midwife told me there’s nothing at all wrong with that and that the only thing to consider if he carried on growing at that rate and stayed big is that they may look to induce a little earlier x

I have a big bump and a big baby! I’ve not googled it, but everything seems okay right now for us - I had a growth scan and have another in a couple of weeks, they’re not concerned about anything, he’s just chunky!

Fundal height measurements are known for being completely inaccurate. Please don’t be concerned as it doesn’t mean anything. Baby could be big but likelihood is they’ll show up fine on the scan. Even if they are big, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Some babies are big, some are small x

In my last pregnancy my bump measured off the charts big. Went for growth scan and baby was actually below 9th percentile. My consultant said he wished we didn't use fundal height measurements as they just weren't accurate and caused all kinds of worry. Try not to think about it too much.
