Breastmilk supply

Hi! As baby grows how you increase the milk supply? I breastfeed my baby and pump sometimes. But i don’t see the increase. His dr said should feed him 4oz every 3 hours and i just get 3 oz :(

I’m struggling as well! 3 oz too but he wants 4 oz when I bottle feed him

Have you tried any lactation drinks or treats? Are you super hydrated?

How often is he eating? Because it's typical for breast fed babies to eat more often but less at each meal, even at this age.

My doctor asked if my baby acted “ milk drunk” after a feed. And he really doesn’t. He just eats frequently on the boob

@Kim does she expect the baby should be milk drunk after each feed?

Do you mean that when you pump you only get 3oz? When pumping, you can sometimes get less than your baby can get out. In order to increase supply, you need to let baby feed on demand, when ever and how ever often they want. Baby dictates how much milk you produce.

Even if it seems like they never leave your boob sometimes, that is normal. They will at times “cluster feed” in order to increase your supply
