Epidural

Anyone else had the epidural and now just feeling absolutely battered with their back. Honestly I feel like I can’t move properly without it just giving way! It’s so frustrating and painful

I’m had a epidural and a spinal, the epidural didn’t work for me but my back hurts on and off. It sometimes spasms as well. I feel your pain

Me too. I had an epidural then 2 spinals as they weren’t working. Can’t work out if the pain is from them or muscular from all the bending and lifting that comes with a newborn.

Honestly I’m thinking is it the baby and all the lifting. But then the spasms are ridiculous 😭

@jess it could be the epidural more likely as it can give you back issues. I’ve been taking paracetamol to help. Hospital did provide me with coedine but makes me sleepy and that’s not good with a new born

@Jade I would probably say from them. How strange is the feeling of having a spinal and not being able to feel your body.

@Nicola it certainly was! But it took over an hour and 2 spinals after the epidural to get me to feel numb for an unplanned section. They had to give me a stronger dose 😬 I was so glad it worked though, because last resort was general! Afterwards I kept thinking my legs would never move again 🤣 x

@Jade luckily the spinal worked for me straight away as I was rushed to theatre for forceps etc. can’t believe you had to have two! Having 1 was bad enough
