12 week scan Q

We’re having our 12 week scan and combined testing on Christmas Eve and I am such a ball of nerves 😭 It’s my first (viable) pregnancy plus I’m not originally from the UK so not too sure how it works here but do we have to pay for the images or do they just give them to you? Is there also an option to get a digital copy in addition to the prints?

I had mine yesterday and you do have to pay, £5 for 1, 2 for £10 ect. But you can pay on card from a machine in the waiting area! There was no digital option unfortunately

I had mine 5 days ago and i didn't have to pay. I think it may depend on which hospital xx

I think it depends on the hospital, I had mine at conquest in Hastings. And i didn't have to pay for them. They take the pictures and print them there and then in the room for you to take away... I would say, have some money handy just in case. But I've not personally heard of anyone having to pay for them unless you go private. Unfortunately, I think digital copies are a private scan thing as well and not typically something the hospital does.... I highly recommend "window to the womb" they offer a variety of private appointments. You pay a set amount, which will include loads of digital prints that you can download, including videos.

Thanks everyone :) We’re planning on going for a private scan at 16 weeks so nice to know that digital copies and videos are normally included there ♥️
