Are you talking about your first midwife appointment? As on mine, she took an arrangement of bloods and a urine sample and it was a chat for 3hrs about my history etc ( I'm high risk) I believe not everyone is there as long as I was lol But seeing you have a history, you can ring your local early gyne unit, The NICE guidelines have changed, and they seem more willing to do reassurance scans before 12 weeks ❤️ (They did for me) and have a couple of others I've recommended.. If you choose to go this route, they will call it a viability scan xx
thank you both so much! i have booked in for a private scan as well just because i didn't know about the early viability scan with the nhs so i'm sure i couldn't have 2 scans so close together anyways i'm just getting a bit impatient lol thank you both again! wish you both the best of luck on your baby journeys🤍🤍
It sounds like your booking in appt, they won’t be able to tell you anything about the baby unfortunately. You’ll have a blood test, weight/height, co2 breath test, urine sample and some general questions. My appointment was less than 1 hour. I had a MMC in August and they didn’t seem concerned that I’d had one and everything is following a standard pathway. They said they’d only offer an early scan if I had bleeding. I had a private scan done for reassurance but that was over a week ago and I’m already becoming anxious again 😫 x
Sounds like your booking appointment with the midwife where you will do bloods for different things, a urine sample and answer quite a lot of questions about family history and preferences for your pregnancy. They will book in your 12 week scan also. This appointment usually takes 1-1.5 hours.
