9 month old hair

My son is mixed. I am white and his dad is black - West Indian. My son’s paternal Nan believes his hair will remain straight as it has not get curled and keeps going on about it 🙄 Whereas his dad thinks it will curl still as his older child has curly hair. I’m not fussed either way, but has anyone else’s mixed child had straight hair that went curly later on?

My sons hair didn’t start going curly until 8-9 months. Now at 21 months it’s super curly. His hair has to be a certain length to start to curl so he still has shorter straight strands along the front

Yes my daughter had straight hair as a baby and it’s curly now. My 6 week old has straight hair too. I’m also West Indian and my husband is white.

My little one had straight hair to begin with too, she’s now got curly hair which start when she was around 9/10 months went fully curly around 13/14 months x

My baby had straight hair until 6-7 months. And now it’s curly at 14 months

My son had dead straight hair, as it grew it got wave and now its mostly curly at 21 months. He still has some fine baby hair that’s straight but not too concerned about that as I’m sure it’ll change.

My son had the sweetest little curls in the back, but the hair was straight throughout. After his first haircut, the curls never came back and now has straight dirty blonde hair. His texture is also a little coarser. It really just depends on how the genetics want to play out.

My son had curly hair until it was washed for the first time. Then it went strait. Now it’s curly again and he’s 9 almost 10 months. It started curling at about 5 1/2 months when his hair really started to grow I’m 1/2 white and 1/2 black with a 3c-4a curl. His daddy is white with a 2c wave/curl
