I would get her checked, especially with the calpol/ibuprofen not really treating it, there must be an underlying infection the body is trying to fight, hence the temp. Hope you get sorted today xx
They’ve always told me if it’s 5 days or less it’s viral, my little boy had a temp for 5 days, 2 days of no temp and now on day 5 again so going to try and get him seen today. Trust your gut, but if she’s fine in herself i guarantee they’ll say viral
Would go get it checked if worried! My little boy had the same, temperature of 41 that would go down slightly with medicine but then shoot straight back up! Cough, snotty nose. Was sleeping nonstop and wasn’t eating. Ended up in a&e with him and tested positive for flu! There’s a lot of it going round at the minute, there was a few cases at my son’s nursery. Fingers crossed she feels a little bit better for Christmas Day!! xx
Thanks everyone. I took her to be seen and it’s the flu, just in time for Santa 🤦🏻♀️
@Kayleigh it’s flu she has too. Poor girl. How long did it take your son to feel better?
Bless her, im glad you have an explanation at least and she feels better soon, hopefully she can enjoy the majority of tomorrow when she is feeling up to it🥹🩷
My lg also has flu. We're on day 6 and the cough is that constant it's keeping her up all night. She's so exhausted poor thing xx
I'm sure if its 3 days u should get it checked. With everything shutting down for Xmas I wud try and get in. Otherwise ring 111 for advise. Infections can cause temp to go up and down.
