Baby Christmas dinner?

For any babies not yet 6 months old, is anyone giving them a bit of mashed carrot or something on Christmas Day for a little celebration of Christmas?

My little girl is 24 weeks today (5 months 8 days) we’ve been told we can wean early due to reflux. Definitely going to be giving her some mashed potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots etc. Mashed up and also whole (BLW)

Yesss we’ve started weaning now, not whole meals just making something purées and porridge here and there and giving her sticks of veg. Making bits for her separately as I prep our veg today - can’t wait!

Yes we are going to give first taste tomorrow, he’s exactly 5 months

@Amy birthday twins! I gave him apple puree today as a Christmas Eve treat and he loved it

Yes, she will be 6 months the week after Christmas so we were thinking of giving her a bit of broccoli

My girl isn’t 5 months til 29th and she isn’t ready so no 😞

Yes! Figure it’s a fun way of kicking of BLW. She’ll be 6 months on the 4th so think it’s close enough.

I’m not as she’s only just turned 5 months, if she was closer to 6 months then I probably would 😅

@Lauryn same as my girl and she’s not ready either

Yes first carrot tomorrow he’s almost 6 months though

We started BLW on Sunday and my little boy had just turned 5 months! As long as they can sit unaided for a good amount of time, have good head control, interested in food, I don’t see any reason not to!

@Jodie I kind of wish she was but she was also 4 weeks early so I have to consider that too. They will make up for it next year I’m sure! ☺️

Mashed potato, mashed carrots and broccoli, probs just play with it but never mind 😂

My daughter is nearly 6 months and we have started weaning, she is having dinner with us just modified to be safe and appropriate for her.

Purée sweet potato and carrots. Pear for desert. We’ve only just started so will be one or two spoons of each x
