@Katie we have been rotating between breast milk from me or bottle and water. We just got some pedialyte that we are gonna try in a bit
I’d just focus on really regular sips of water. At 14 months, he doesn’t need the milk as much as a younger baby would. Water will help settle his stomachs way better than milk
That’s really the best you can do unfortunately but look out for signs of dehydration like wet diapers, sunken eyes, dry lips. I would take him into a clinic or emergency room if you notice any signs of dehydration
So if no wet nappies that a red flag and you should try putting water or a hydration liquid in a 5ml syringe and give it every ten mins . That’s what they do if you go to hospital . Good luck xx
Also avoid milk . It won’t help.
@Jess @Katie @Jade thank you I will try these and keep a look out
@Jade he also finally pooped and peed a little so I’m hoping he is through the worst of it now
Regular water , if you have a syringe use that to keep track of how much baby has had
My daughter had the same thing happened to her months ago and milk is too heavy for him to keep down rn so just keep trying to give him pedialyte and some juice and just let him get everything out it’s definitely a stomach bug and let him rest as much has he wants to wear off what ever his body is fighting
@Alyssa thank you! How long did your daughters last?
@Emma honestly a week giving she gets seizures when she’s sick
Avoid milk and stick with water
Have you tried some water or pedialyte? He’s 14 months so he can have either to help and may be better on his upset stomach. They also make pedialyte popsicles for kids too
