Check with HR but my understanding is you don't have to go back to get full omp again, you only have to go back if you plan on leaving the nhs otherwise you have to pay it back.

Not sure how the NHS mat leave. I worked in an NHS and private dental practice. I had back to back mat leave. As I got pregnant 3month after having my first child. Worked out really well as I also got my hoilday pay. And started mat leave again, then got another lot of holiday pay. Xx As long as your due date is close enough to when you're due to return you may not need to return at all.

Yes it’s really close but I just wasn’t sure if basically because I don’t return would my second mat leave be lower as isn’t it worked out on what your earning on a certain week x

That's correct. I'm not sure what the rate is now. When I was on mat leave, I had to earn £156.50 pw to be entitled to another round of mat leave. I just about got it, if I'm honest. If you look on the GOV website, there is a calculator, or there are a few charities that can help you work it all out. Finger crossed, you are entitled. If not you could look at applying for Maternity allowance. I think you can only do that if your employer fills in a SMP form stating why you aren't entitled to mat pay xx
