Glucose retest

Tomorrow I’m retesting my glucose after explaining how I had forgotten about my appointment and carb loaded 🤣 so she’s having me redo my one hour instead of doing a two hour. I’ve been testing at home all day I’ve had no sugar or carbs basically just protein but my levels have been on the lower side since lunch time I started out good at an 81 before breakfast and an 87 after. All I had was over easy eggs with avocado and yogurt (sugar free) with water. Then before lunch 71 after lunch 67 I had grilled chicken and veggies with more yogurt and water. Then after dinner it was 77 and that’s still on the low side. I had keto sugar free ice cream I had steak and water then more yogurt. Of course I’m glad its not high but maybe this is too low for pregnancy I’m not sure but I am hopeful that I will pass the glucose test tomorrow since I haven’t had carbs and I’ve noticed eating all this protein seems to eat away at any sugar there is in my body 🤣. Does anyone else regularly check their glucose with it being this low before or after eating during pregnancy

I accidentally made the same mistake the day of my 1 hour and my doctor insisted on the three hour. Which I passed with flying colors 🥳 I check my blood sugar a few times a week because I have low fasting blood sugars in the 50’s and 60’s.

Are you doing your glucose reading at 1 hour or 2 hours after a meal and I'm talking about start the timer the first bite on the 1 hour or 2 hours exactly ?

@Heather hope this will be the case this time mine has always been on the lower side even when I was in HS I’d even get light headed from it so for it to come back high I was a bit shocked it wasn’t even that high just a couple numbers too high 😅

@Ashley I’m checking exactly one hour later

the fast is very concerning you can't control your fast Numbers But 70 to a 100 on your morning fasting when you wake up that's normal A 101 and over is Gestational diabetes 69 and under And if you're in the 50 sometimes that's really very concerning cause it can be dangerous for baby You definitely don't want your fast and number to be in the 50s all the time so hopefully your Doctor can figure something out for you Maybe he can get you a monitor to put on your arm so if you ever go low it'll alarm you and you can wake up and eat something
